Is it possible to use the DVD player in the navigation unit in the H 2007 Ridgeline RTL / Nav to DVD playback?

I would like use the dashboard to display the GPS / navigation uses without adding another display of any kind. I would also like to know if I can use the reader DVD currently existing Honda has provided maps stored on. I tried a regular DVD and just received and error message on the screen in dash.

I'm sorry, you're out of luck. those designed for a data DVD instead of DVD video. There are currently no solution for this at this point. I apologize for the inconvenience though.
