How To Arrive At The Best Leyte Hotel

A lot of individuals are looking for a Leyte hotel. This is because Leyte is known for their charming provincial life which appeals to honeymooning couples and vacationing families alike. The majority of Leyte travel guides showcase tourist spots in the province that everyone can visit such as churches and religious shrines, which include the Sto. Nino Church, Buddhist Temple, and Palo Metropolitan Cathedral.

Other attractions of Leyte includes the San Juanico Bridge and historical landmarks such as the Hilongos Bell Tower, Mac Arthur Leyte Landing memorial, and Battle of Baluarte Marker. If you have any local activity and/or place you are particularly interested in visiting in Leyte, then it would be a good idea to find a Leyte hotel according to the target location as well as plan on how you are going to get there.

All these are offered by some hotels in Leyte, and at a really good price of just a bit over a thousand pesos per day. You also have the option of staying in a hotel in Leyte for longer periods (such as 6 months) at a lower rate.

There are several options, in terms of transportation, in getting to Sourthern Leyte. If you want to get there by land, the present road network that interweave across Southern Leyte includes main arteries that link Leyte through major outlets: The Maasin-Mahaplag-Baybay on the Western region and the Mahaplag-Sahod on the central region via the Maharlika Highway.

If you want to get to Leyte by sea, you have the option of getting there from Manila. The trip will take around 36 hours. There are approximately a dozen seaports in Southern Leyte. If you will be traveling from Cebu, you can get to Southern Leyte by taking a fast boat heading for Ormoc and then ride a van traveling to Hinunangan.

Probably the fastest and most convenient way to arrive at Leyte is by air. Major Airlines in the Philippines have 3-4 flights each day going through the Manila to Tacloban route. The whole time to get to Leyte is 1 hour and 10 minutes. At present, there is only one operational airport in Southern Leyte, which is located in Pananawan, Maasin. If you are on a business trip or simply want to be conveniently located near the airport, there are some hotels that are situated not far away.

Southern Leyte has 5 bus terminals. Take note that these are stationed in open spaces and are not found in buildings and other amenities. It could take a few hours if you are going on a trip across Leyte taking the bus.

Getting around town is easier with minivans, pedicabs, jeepneys, and tricycles. Rental cars with drivers can be arranged by your hotel in Leyte. However, it might be worth mentioning that you can even find a Leyte hotel that offers a 4-seater aircraft that can be used for charter on cross island trips. This is exclusive to hotel guests!
