Garmin Forerunner GPS Watches – What do you think of them?

I am interested in buying a Garmin Forerunner GPS watch (clock fitness). It is based on GPS by making a precise monitoring of their careers. Before dropping $ 150 + in one of those I just wanted to know if someone who uses one would recommend getting one. If much so that one has? I'm leaning toward a precursor of the model 305. Thanks in advance for your answers.

I can not give information about both the 305, but have a precursor of the model 405. I've been using it for about 6 months and probably buy it again if I had to do it all over again. I do not know how familiar you are with these watches GPS, but you probably already know to track distance, pace, time, lap time and much more. If you train more than once a week and keep the data as history of your workouts, you probably would benefit from owning one. I chose the 405 over the 305 mainly because the 405 is more like a "real watch "so you can use it daily. Beyond that, they pretty much do the same. Hope that helps.
